Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club of Eastern Piedmont
The Boys and Girls Club of Eastern Piedmont, North Carolina was formed in late 2008 by concerned citizens in Orange and Western Chatham counties to help raise funds so that Boys and Girls Clubs could be opened in each county. In our counties, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.
Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow – all while having fun. They are truly The Positive Place for Kids.
Our Goal is to open a Boys and Girls Club both in Orange (Chapel Hill & Hillsborough) and Western Chatham (Siler City) during 2010. Our Western Chatham site is now open (Siler City opened June 30th 2010). In Chapel Hill, we plan on utilizing the Pine Knolls Community Center (off of Johnson street). Western Chatham club in Siler City is now open - The Western Chatham club, located in Siler City, opened it's doors on June 30th for the Summer Session (it ended on August 13th). We are now getting ready for the Fall session. The hours of operation will be Mon-Fri 2:30am to 6:30pm and start on September 8th. We are looking forward to a great year!
